First Communion Ceremony Held at Holy Rosary

On Sunday, Holy Rosary Catholic Church celebrated first communion with 12 second graders receiving the Eucharist for the first time. The ceremony began with a welcome from Penelope Baker. It was followed by the first reading presented by Joshua Benzel and Quinn Walls. Next was the responsorial psalm read by Zara Vera Acosta, McKinley Mills, and Catalina Pacheco.

The second reading then followed with Carter Weber and Paisley Gumm as the presenters. After the Gospel and the homily, readers Zara Vera Acosta, Karsyn Rasmussen, McKinley Mills, Grady Mulhern, and Catalina Pacheco did the petitions. Gifts and collection were next.

Helping with that were: Grady Mulhern, Kensley Ravert, Zara Vera Acosta, McKinley Mills, Catalina Pacheco, Whitley Shrewsbury, Karsyn Rasmussen, Paisley Gumm, and Quinn Walls. Following communion, the mediation was led by Penelope Baker. The ceremony ended with all the presenters performing a dance to the song “Fly”. Congratulations to all!!!
