Get to Know Officer Aly Dusatko #115

I was born in Boulder, Colorado, and I moved around to a several different states during my elementary school years, including Arkansas, Mississippi, and Nebraska. My mom and I moved to Alliance in my 5th grade year, and apart from a year long stint in Albuquerque, NM. I have lived in Alliance ever since.

I graduated from Alliance High School in 2008. I completed and Associate’s degree in Psychology a few years later, and in December of 2014 I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During the last couple of years I was going to school, I also worked full time for the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher. I absolutely loved this job, however, after doing summer internship with the Alliance Police Department, I knew I wanted to become a police officer. I was hired on with APD as an officer in January of 2015.

My main hobby outside of work, is riding and training horses. I also love to ride and compete in open shows. I mostly compete in English riding classes which can include jumping, pleasure and equitation. I compete in Western riding as well, including, pleasure, horsemanship, trail, reining, barrels and poles.
