High speed winds on Jan. 13 and 14 set records for the city of Alliance and brought with them damage to several structures.
According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts reached in excess of 78 miles per hour, setting a record for highest wind speeds recorded in Alliance within the last several years.
The high winds resulted in damaged siding and signs at several businesses including BowlMor Lanes, McDonald’s and Dairy Queen.
