Join us at the Wild West Party

East Point Horspice has busted open the gate and is running through the pasture at a full canter toward the 11th annual Wild West Party at the Eagles Club in Alliance on Saturday February 26th. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. the evening’s events will include a silent auction, ball toss with a new twist, live music from Crossbell and a delicious hamburger and fries supper to get your smalltown Saturday night off to a great start. Expect to find the favorite stick horse race to allow the kids a chance to win great prizes. For the 21 and older crowd there will be a Texas Hold ‘em tournament in the card room; getting in is an additional $25 entry fee. Admission to the event is $10 with proceeds going toward the horses and therapeutic riding programs of EPH. Beginning around 9 p.m. Crossbell will keep the night going until 11 with their trademark country stylings. Always a favorite in the area, this band understands how to get you off your stool and shuffle around the dance floor. Further information about the event is available on the EPH Facebook page, ads in your very own Alliance Times-Herald, or through calling Charlene at 762-3848.

This annual event is currently the major source of FUNdraising for EPH. In addition to a memorable evening, the Wild West Party is critical in providing necessary funds to allow the programs to grow and assist even more people in the region. Over 16 years ago, the initial summer riding program began with one rider and has since flourished into multiple nights with many riders. Through the generosity of our relentless volunteers and financial donors, EPH has lengthened its stride to incorporate year-round horsemanship lessons and facility developments. It has been this support which has allowed the fearlessness to dream and develop even bigger programs including the latest ideation of using horses in a trauma recovery program. This concept is proving to demonstrate incredible potential due to the incomparable ability of the horse to provide a non-judgmental and honest response to the participants.

All are encouraged to attend the event and learn more about becoming an active member of the EPH herd, whether through being a volunteer, a rider, or behind the scenes motivator. Please consider using the horses as an avenue to serve others, but be aware the benefits of a relationship with horses will more than likely improve your own life.
