The Western Conference held their meet Saturday at Alliance’s Bulldog Stadium. Nine teams took part in the event. After missing their last three meets, the Alliance St. Agnes’ teams were ready to go. The Crusaders competed very well against the big schools with the eighth grade girls having the best day, finishing in fourth place with 43 1/2 points. Josie Sanders led Alliance scoring golds in both the long jump and 100 hurdles. St. Agnes’ seventh grade boy’s squad also had a solid day, ending with 35 points which was good for sixth overall. Asher Saka was the top performer taking third in both the 400 and 800.

“We had a super day, bringing home 21 medals, said Coach Mark Glesinger. “It had been 12 days since our last meet and it was nice to get back on the track. The coaches are still seeing improvements as when enter our final two meets.”
St. Agnes ends the year with their conference meet in Morrill on Friday and traveling to Scottsbluff on Saturday.
