Lyle R. Hare of Alliance passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Box Butte General Hospital at the age of 73.
He was born on August 15, 1950 in North Platte, Nebraska to Lyle and Betty (Rogers) Hare. His family moved to Alliance in the following year. Lyle attended St. Agnes Academy and graduated from Alliance High School in 1969.
Lyle was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In his earlier years Lyle enjoyed hunting and was also an avid card player.
He is survived by his brothers, Michael Hare of Yuma, AZ and Mark (Lori) Hare of Alliance. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Lisa (Richard) McDonald of Mesa, AZ, Adam (Melissa) Hare of Yuma, AZ, James (Lana) Hare of Chandler, AZ, Joseph (Ashley) Hare of Scottsdale, AZ, Jessica Hare (Kyle McCarville) of Durham, NC, Amanda (Kyle) Cummings of Lake Ozark, MO and Anthony Hare of Omaha. He is also survived by his cousins, Deborah Ann Rogers, James Rogers, Tom Hare, Susan Dye and Steve Hansen. Lyle’s family would like to acknowledge the care given to Lyle by Janelle Rolls, Pam Cyza and Kristy Bolek. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Father Matt Koperski will officiate and interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department.
