“9 Lives” and “Rough 8” out of The Gathering Spot in Alliance fell just short of advancing to the American Poolplayers Association World Pool Championships in Las Vegas after falling in the finals of the Western Nebraska APA 9-Ball and 8-Ball World Qualifiers (respectively) held at Eagles Club in North Platte.
Both teams received a cash prize for their second-place finish.

Teams that advance to the Vegas events receive a generous travel allowance, paid entry fees/greens fees and complimentary lodging at Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, site of the APA World Pool Championships.
