The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Werner
Construction, Inc. will host an informal public meeting on Wednesday, June 24, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Prairie Winds Community Center at 428 Main Street in Bridgeport.
This meeting will provide the public with an opportunity to see the scope and location of work in Bridgeport, and to speak with the construction team and NDOT about the work before construction begins within a few weeks.
Traffic will be maintained throughout construction with the use of temporary lane closures to minimize disruptions. While the in-town construction commences, work on the north bridges will continue, using temporary traffic signals. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect throughout project duration. Work is anticipated to be completed in Nov. 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
