Contest #2 in the Rushville tournament had Alliance taking on Security First on Friday. Scoring runs in all four innings, the Preps downed the hosts 15 to 3. Jace Jensen led the offense with 3 hits. Alliance ended the matchup with 13 knocks. Toeing the rubber were starter Silas Lilley-Stone and Esai Trejo. The Peltz Co scored 4 runs in the second, third , and fourth frames
Three scores in the top of the first got the Spartans off to a fast start. Hits by Roy Torres, AJ Garcia, and Braden Myers resulted in the Peltz Co surging ahead 3 to 0. Gordon failed to score in the bottom of the first. RBI doubles in the second by Jensen and Trejo keyed the scoring as Alliance plated 4 more. A double play in the last of the 2nd kept Security First out of the scoring column. Heading to the third, the Peltz Co was up 7 to 0.
Frame 3 was another super one for the Preps. Alliance tallied 4 to surge ahead by 11. Successful swings by Lilley-Stone, Dixon Bair, Jensen, Trejo, and Garcia made it 11 to 0. Another twin killing in the home half of the third kept the shutout in line. Four more runs in their last attempt in the top of inning #4 put the Gordon deficit at 15. Alliance got knocks from Sonny Hernandez, Bair, and Jensen to extend their advantage. Security First would score 3 in their last try but it wasn’t enough. Final. Peltz Co 15 Security First 3
