PSWGA Competes at Morrill

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association (PSWGA) turned in a competitive outing at Rolling Green Golf Course in Morrill on Monday, June 19th. There were 37 women playing in the scramble setting.

The first place team of Vicky Dimas, Kris DeVries, Norma Perkins and Carole Derr carded a gross score of 77 with a net score of 61.15. Close behind, in second place, was the team of Gina Briggs, Londa Maron, Sharon Havely and Chris Lapaseotes. They turned in a gross score of 76, with a net score of 61.73. And, ever so close in third place, was the team of Marsha Neifert, Jane Holechek, Betty Landercasper and Bebe Shortall. They also turned in a gross score of 76, but had a net score of 61.91. Rounding out the top finishers was the fourth place team of Gail Magers, Tracy Mooney, Lisa Richardson and Cindy Francisco with a gross score of 77 and a net score of 62.9.

There were ten flag prizes handed out. Longest drive for the “A” player was Becky Mikel. Longest drive for the “B” player was Tami Pierce. Longest drive for the “C” player was Cindy Francisco. Longest drive for the “D” player was Carole Derr. Longest putts were made by Norma Perkins and Deb Emrick. Bebe Shortall and Rose Pancost were closest to the pin on the par 3’s. Patty Schaneman and Ronda Roth were closest to the pin from off the green.

The PSWGA will have a few weeks off to allow for the July 4th holiday. Our next outing will be July 10th at the Four Winds Golf Course in Kimball.
