Reflections for the Week of December 19-23

Fire:

* ESO Records Management System build-out continues. Go-live date is anticipated to be February 1, 2023.

* Surpassed 1,000 calls for service on December 19th. First time in our history surpassing the 1,000 run/year mark.

* Chief participated in a number of Zoom meetings concerning the weather with the National Weather Service out of Cheyenne.

Police Admin:

* Meetings: Central Square, Metrohm, CALEA, IACP.

Police Communications/Intelligence:

* Coordinated 369 calls for service.

* Completed 0 report requests.

* 1 firearm permits issued.

Police Operations:

* 2 Child Welfare Investigations.

* 1 DUI, 12 Traffic Stops.

* 2 accidents.

* 0 K9 deployments.

* 42 Building Checks.

* 23 Community Contacts/Business Checks.

* 0 Vacation House Checks.

* 12 Active Investigations.

* 8 Cases Resolved.

Animal Control:

* 24 Animal Calls.

* 2 Dog Impounds. 0 dogs currently in the shelter.

* 1 Cat Impounds. 1 cats currently in the shelter.

Code Enforcement:

* 0 Code enforcement issues.

Notable Service:

* Satisfaction rating 91.7%.

* Overall crime is down 9.8% and property crime is down 22.7% YTD from last year YTD.

Airport:

* Maintenance was kept busy with snow operations the last couple of weeks. Biggest concern now is taking care of drifting.

* Weather Service building lost heat which resulted in burst pipes. No major damage and all is up and running now.

* Working on Airline bids. Alliance has received two bids for service and working on scheduling interviews with both in the next two weeks. A recommendation will be going to council the second meeting in January.

* Participating in training for Paylocity and new budgeting software.

* Working on wildlife annual reports and permitting for the next year.

* Passenger counts for November were 376 passengers enplaned and 347 deplaned. No cancellations but some delays due to weather.

Electric:

* Operated the generation plant on Tuesday to help MEAN maintain the electric grid

* Filled generation plant diesel tanks.

* Worked on numerous street light issues.

* Hooked up electric service and installed meter on new building for Antioch Machine.

* Attended monthly NECC safety meeting.

* Performed equipment inspections and maintenance.

* Performed snow removal as needed.

Library:

* This week has been a whirlwind with all the weather closings! All the library staff wishes to thank all the City crews who helped dig us out! We have had so many positive remarks in the library about what a great job the crews did cleaning the streets so many thanks!!!

* The librarian staff has spent the down time this week working on continuing education hours and weeding the collection.

* The staff has also began weeding the DVD collection in hopes of creating a new space in the north nook for patrons to use when accessing our Regional Interest collection!

Parks:

* Snow removal and snow equipment maintenance continued.

* Worked on summer equipment when time allowed.

* Prepared for and completed one funeral.

Museum:

* Worked on data base development.

* Reviewed gift shop inventory and added items to the Square program.

Golf:

* Inventory for summer tournaments started arriving.

* Worked on budget for 2023/24.

* Had the pro shop open for seasonal shoppers.

* Equipment maintenance and snow removal.
