Day 2 of the Clair Conley tournament began with another contest featuring the Spartan Juniors and Fort Morgan. Due to a change in the schedule, the 2 squads met again with the Wranglers getting the win 10 to 2. Alliance got the win on Thursday by 2 but fell in the rematch. Four Spartans took the hill. They were starter Jayden Garcia and relievers Logan Freiberger, Tanner Salcido, and Jace Jensen. The Peltz Co ended with 4 hits.
Fort Morgan batted first and scored three. In the home half, the Juniors didn’t have success. One more Wrangler tally in the second made it 4 to 0. Alliance went scoreless in the inning. Both teams went down in the third . Alliance would get a knock by Freiberger but he was left on the bases. In the fourth, FM went by 5 with another tally. An RBI hit by Spartan Carson Stull in the last of the inning made the score 5 to 1 after four innings of play.
Two more Wranglers crossed the plate in the top of frame five. Alliance got one back in the bottom of the inning. Jackson Devlin doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Teagan O’Gorman. Fort Morgan sealed the deal in their last attempt in the top of inning #6. The visitors plated 3 to go up by 8. Jensen singled in the last of sixth but was stranded. Final. Fort Morgan 10. Alliance 2
