Senior Women’s Golf Hosts Third Outing

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association held its third outing of 2021 on June 7th at Chimney Rock Golf Course in Bayard. Thirty eight women endured the heat and enjoyed 18 holes of golf on the nicely manicured course.

Taking first place with a score of 77/64.55 net was Marsha Neifert, Dee Vogel, Suzy Ernest and Chris Lapaseotes. Second place with a score of 78/66.92 net and two birdies was Tracy Smith, Londa Maron, Jolene McGinnis and Rose Jacoby. Taking third place with a score of 81/67.21 net was Becky Mikel, Terry Espinoza, Kris DeVries and Kay Heggem.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Terria Hampton, Longest Drive “B” Player – Dee Vogel, Longest Drive “C” Player – Kris DeVries and Longest Drive “D” Player – Audrey Nelson. Tami Pierce and Londa Maron won Longest Putt flags. Tracy Smith and Ellen White won Closest Tee Shot flags. Dee Vogel was Closest to the Pin on 2nd Shot at Hole #8 and Penny Yekel was Closest to the Pin on the 3rd Shot at Hole #1.
