Seniors Get Ninth Win of the Year with 16 to 5 Victory over FBG

On Thursday, the Alliance senior team hit the road east for games in the Omaha area. Game one had the Spartans downing FBG pride 16 to 5 for their ninth W on the season. The Spartans scored in every inning and collected 14 hits on the evening. Cody Galles led the Peltz Co offense with 3 hits. Starting pitcher Braeden Clarke hurled the first 4 frames in the 5 inning contest. Pitching the fifth was Fletcher Moseman.

Alliance was the aggressor from the start, scoring twice in the top of the first . Walks to Jaxon Poss and Lanik along with a hit by Kobe Strom loaded the bases. An error by the Pride made it a 1 to 0 ball game. The Spartans second run came after a passed ball. Clarke held the Omaha club scoreless in the bottom of the frame.

Five runs in the second gave the seniors a nice lead. Hits by Mikey Johnson and Galles started the rally. Lanik and Tony Escamilla both had 2 run doubles to make the score 7 to 0. Omaha went down in order in the home half. Another 2 RBI knock by Lanik in the third put the Alliance lead at 9 to 0. Three tallies by the Pride in the bottom of the third made it a 9 to 3 contest.

The Peltz Co answered back with a 3 spot in the fourth. Alliance got singles by Escamilla and Carver Nemnich to began the spree . Jaxson Esparza followed with a 2 run double and the scoring came to a close with a wild pitch by FBG. Galles doubled later but failed to score. The Pride got one back in the home half of the inning to make it a 12 to 4 game.

Four more Senior scores in their final at bat put the game away. The Peltz Co got knocks from Strom, Esparza, Galles, and Poss to surge ahead 16 to 4. The ended with the Pride getting a run and the Spartans turning a double play.
