Sidney Ends Winning Streak by the Preps

A six game winning streak came to a conclusion for the Alliance Prep club on Thursday. Using a monster fourth inning, Sidney defeat the Peltz Co 17 to 5. The visitors scored 13 tallies in the top of inning #4 in getting the W. Alliance finished with 5 hits and were led by Esai Trejo who connected for 2. On the bump for the Preps were starter Silas Lilley-Stone and relief hurlers Roy Torres and Tee Johnson. The Spartans were up 5 to 4 after three frames on action before the big rally by the guests.

Lilley-Stone was sharp in the first as Sidney went down quietly. Alliance push 2 across in the home half. The Peltz Co hits by Dixon Bair, Trejo, and Jace Jensen to surge ahead 2 to 0. In the second, the Preps turn a double play to maintain their advantage. Two more runs by the Spartans extend their advantage to 4 to 0 in the bottom of the inning. An rbi knock by Trejo was the highlight. Sidney would tie the ball game in the third. The guests scored 4 to knot the matchup. Alliance retook the lead in their at bat in the third. Logan Freiberger walked and scored on an rbi knock by Quinn Ferguson. Heading to the fourth, Alliance was up 5 to 4.

Using 6 singles, 6 walks, and a double, Sidney stormed back with a 13 run fourth inning. Also aiding the rally were a passed ball and a hit batter. Alliance failed to score in the bottom of inning four. Final
