Sin Makes Us Blind

Our natural eyes that we are born with can have many problems. We can develop cataracts, torn retinas, loss of ability to read smaller writings, and you name there is probably a whole catalog of things that can go wrong with our eyes.

We can be born blind or have color blindness and not even be aware of it for sometime. I think we have our best eyesight through our hearts. There is a story in the Bible about Jesus entering a village and the blind person was the only one who recognized Jesus.

Sin makes us defective and unable to see wrong doing and evil. I knew a guy that got fired as a cashier because he didn’t give back the correct change to the customer. When the boss fired him he thought that was unfair because he wasn’t stealing from the boss but from the customer.

Sin makes us quite blind and quite silly. God wants us to see ourselves as loved, forgiven, and one with a bright bright future. He can only do this when one has the Holy Spirit to be able to see the wrong in our lives, and we all have them whether we can see them or not, sometimes our personal defects can be the hardest of the hard to see.

God loves us, we weren’t given life to live it defect free but free to trust in God with all things. God Bless You and learn more in His Holy House.
