Alliance Public School had a staff recognition day on May 11, where teachers were given awards for service.
Superintendent Troy Unzicker announced awards for teachers receiving awards for years of service and a few retirees. There were three-year, five-year, 15-year, 25-year and 40-year awards given along with awards for teachers that were retiring. Dana Folchert and Rita Moravek received the three-year award. Andrea Jay, Minerva Valdez, Brandy Stark, Janette Pollack, Wendi Lockhart, Tracy Eitler, Taylor Hankins and Sandi Morava were awarded the five-year award. Chris Seebohm was given the 15-year award. Danielle Swanson, Shannon Allard and Ranee Anthony had received the 25-year award. Lori Watson was given the 40-year award and Lynette Kiss, Lorie Benzel, Julie Johnson and Rita Moravek were the teachers retiring this year.
