AHS Girls Tennis Team Competes at State

The AHS Girls tennis team headed to the Woods Tennis Center in Lincoln to compete in the State Tournament on May 19 and 20, where they contended to see who was the best in the state.

The AHS girls went up against top-seated teams, where they gained valuable experience on what it takes to compete at the next level.

The girls played well but once again we had to play top-seated teams. They gained great experience and now know what it takes to compete at state. I look forward to helping them continue to learn and improve on their way back here next year. It has been a great season. Our two seniors played hard here at state and finished their high school tennis careers with great leadership and attitudes,” said Coach Scott Mills.

The leadership of the seniors on the girls tennis team had been phenomenal this season.

I thank all five of our seniors for their leadership on and off the court this season and cannot wait to see what they do in their future,” Mills noted.
