Torrington defeated the Aces on Sunday 12 to 8. A big third inning proved to be too much for Alliance. At the dish, the Aces had 10 hits and were led by King Lopez, Joseph Vela, and Isaiah Gonzalez who ended with 2 apiece. Three Aces took the hill. Starter Lincoln Foster tossed the first 2 frames while Vela and Lopez came in as relievers.
Lots of runs in the first as both clubs found success. Knocks from Braven Gange, Lopez, and Vela gave Alliance a 2 to 0 lead. Torrington answered back with 4 to go up by 2. In the second, the Aces tied the game at 4. Gonzalez and Foster singled and scored on an error by Torrington and a passed ball. One score in the last of the second then gave Torrington the lead at 5 to 4.
Frame three was a rough one for the Aces. Alliance failed to get on the board while Torrington tallied 6 to surge ahead 11 to 4. The Aces had a nice rally in the top of the fourth with 4 runs. Hits from Lopez, Vela, Landon Gentleman, and Gonzalez closed the gap to 4. The scoring ended with an RBI knock by Hudson Brownlow. Torrington got one back in the home half to extend their advantage to 12 to 8. No runs were plated in the fifth while the Aces also failed to score in their last at bat in the top of the sixth.
