Jessen Farms is pleased to announce it has awarded $2,500 scholarships to four members of the 2025 graduating class of Alliance and Hemingford High Schools. The scholarship winners are:
Jackson Bailey, Alliance graduate and son of Chris and Hannah Bailey, plans to attend Chadron State College and major in Rangeland Management. After graduation, Jackson plans to pursue a career with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission or the National Park Service.
Gavin Bell, Hemingford graduate and son of Chad and Valery Bell, will attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in Animal Science. The knowledge he gains will help him run his family’s ranch and find work as a feedlot operator.
Jaili Jackson, Hemingford graduate and daughter of Sam Jackson, plans to attend Mitchell Technical College in South Dakota and pursue a degree in Diesel Power Technology. After graduation, she plans to work as a diesel mechanic, eventually opening her own shop.
Nathan Randolph, Hemingford graduate and son of Dave and Blanche Randolph, will attend Western Nebraska Community College and earn an associate’s degree in Business. After graduation, he will continue his studies, possibly at a culinary school where he will prepare to become a professional chef.
Each year, Jessen Farms, a family farming corporation operating in Box Butte County, offers $2,500 scholarships to seniors graduating from Alliance or Hemingford High School. This need-based scholarship has awarded $67,500 in scholarships since it was established in 2018.
