Lady Bulldogs Finish Fourth at Middle School Track Meet in Chadron

Warm and breezy conditions greeted track fans on Saturday as Chadron hosted their middle school invite. Eight schools took part. Top finisher in the team race for Alliance came from the 7th grade girl’s team who tallied 51 points which was good for fourth overall. The AMS 8th grade girl’s club was sixth with 24 points. Gering was first in seventh girl’s division with 166 points with Chadron second at 95. Chadron won the title in 8th grade girl’s category with 132 while Scottsbluff was the runner up with 87 points.

Scottsbluff won both level for the boys. The Bluffs tallied 114.5 point in winning the seventh grade team race with Gordon-Rushville second with 99.5. With 184 tallies, the Bearcats were first in the 8th boy’s level. Placing second was Chadron with 66. AMS was sixth in the 8th division with 33 points. Ending seventh in the seventh grade team race were the Dogs who finished with 11 points.

Leading the way for the Lady Bulldogs was seventh grade hurdler Remi Anders who run the 100 hurdle race with a time of 19.4 Anders was second in the long jump. The Bulldogs also got a gold medal effort from 8th grader Nyah Ramirez who won the 200 with a time of 29.9. Taking first for the second straight meet was seventh grade Kendrick Quick who won the 7th grade shot put with a throw of 33’7. AMS also got a pair of silver medals with their 8th grade boy’s squad. Dixon Bair was second in the 400 while the 2 mile relay ended as the runner up.
