Nine to One Win Over Security First Give Juniors Their 10th Victory

One hit baseball pitched by starter Fletcher Moseman and reliever Tanner Salcido carried the Alliance Juniors past Security First 9 to 1 on Tuesday. Moseman went the first 3 and struck out 6. The contest was played in Alliance. The Peltz Co ended with 7 hits with seven players finishing with one knock each. Alliance scored in every frame and improved to 10 and 6 for the year.

Two Ks by Moseman kept the Regulators off the board in the opening inning. The Spartans took the lead in the home half with 4 tallies. Teagan O’Gorman reached on an error and moved into scoring position after a hit by Miguel Galvan. The Spartans first run came after a Salcido sac fly. Up 1, the Peltz Co then scored their second run when the ball hit by Jackson Shelmadine was misplayed. A wild pitch and an rbi single by Spartan Jayden Garcia ended the scoring. After one inning of action, the Juniors were ahead 4 to 0.

Moseman struck out the side in the top of second while the hosts added to their advantage with 2 more scores. The highlight of the inning came with a hit by O’Gorman and an RBI groundout by Braeden Clarke. Down 6 to 0, the Regulators failed to score in the top of frame three. Knocks by Jackson Devlin and Israel Garcia helped the Spartans go up 7 to 0 heading into the fourth.

In the 4th, Salcido sat down Gordon in order. Alliance increased its margin in the bottom of the fourth with another tally. An RBI double by Logan Freiberger made it an 8 to 0 affair. Using a single, a walk, and an Alliance error , the visitors scored once in their final at bat. The contest came to an end with the Peltz Co scoring once in the home half on an RBI single by Salcido.
