Game 2 of the Capital City Championship was a rough one Saturday for the Blue Sox. Alliance fell to WYCO 22 to 2. The Hawks held the Sox to just 3 hits. Five pitchers took the mound. Zeke Dean was the starter while coming in for relief were: Eugenio Lopez, Von Krejci, Levi Escamilla, and Canton Devlin. WYCO had big frames in the first and third in posting the victory.
WYCO hit first and quickly found success. The Hawks plated 9 to take a comfortable lead. The Peltz Co got 2 back in the home half. Hits by Marshall Moseman, Devlin, and Dean along with an RBI groundout by Lopez made it 9 to 2. Errors would plague the Sox in the second. The Hawks used the miscues to score 5 and surge ahead 14 to 2. Alliance failed to score in the bottom of the inning and the contest went to the third with the Blue Sox down by 12.
Eight more Hawks runs in the top of inning #3 gave WYCO a super cushion. Alliance went down in order in their last at bat. Final WYCO 22. Sox 2
