Four clubs took to the field over the weekend and participated in the Sugar Valley Showdown. The games were played at the Platte Valley Companies field. Taking home the first place trophy were the Alliance Aviators. Other teams taking part were the Westco Dirtbags, 23 Club All Stars, and the Gering All Stars.
Alliance opened the round robin format by defeating the Club 23 squad 14 to 5. Up next was a matchup against the Gering All Stars. The Aviators downed Gering 10 to 1. Westco then defeated Alliance 10 to 5.
Semi final action then had the Aviators posting a 13 to 3 victory over Gering. In the finals, Alliance had a rematch with Westco. The Aviators got revenge over the Dirtbags, winning 12 to 4 for the championship!
