Hemingford’s boys track season came to an end over the weekend with 3 Bobcats taking part at the state meet. Burke Stadium in Omaha hosted the event. The Cats got an 8th performance from Junior Austin Benda who medal in the 2 mile. His time was 9:51. Benda then ran the mile on Saturday and took home 11th with a time of 4:34.
Sophomore Jayce Haas qualified for both the 100 and 200. Haas was 24th in the 100 and ended 21st in the 200. In the pole vault, Eli Hunter was 18th with a mark of 11’6.
Overall, Lincoln North Star won the Class A team championship with 77 points with Creighton Prep second with 71.5 points. Waverly won in Class B with Lincoln Pius ending second. Class C was won by Chase County with Battle Creek taking the runners up trophy. Dundy County Stratton was the Class D winner with Anselmo-Merna ending second.
