Lady Cats End Track Season with District Meet in Grant

Perkins County High School in Grant was the site for the Class C District 9 track meet on Thursday. Ten teams went to the track with hopes of qualifying for the state meet in Omaha next week. Chase County, with 156 points, won the girl’s team title with Ogallala taking second with 72 tallies. North Platte St. Pats was third with 59 points. Hemingford was tenth. Top finishers for the Bobcats was Junior Emma Hitchcock who was sixth in the discus. Her throw went 105′. Teams taking part: Bridgeport, Chase County, Gordon-Rushville, Hemingford, Hershey, Kimball, Mitchell, North Platte St. Pats, Ogallala, and Chase County.
