The Alliance boys basketball team saw success Monday night in the opening of the subdistrict playoffs, defeating Gering 52-43 in a battle of the bulldogs to advance to the championship round.
On Friday evening, the Bulldogs beat Sidney with a final score of 53-47. Alliance saw the opportunity for a rematch in the subdistrict championship game Tuesday night after Sidney narrowly defeated Scottsbluff on Monday night. The results of the championship game were not available as of press time.
