Celebrating Public Service Recognition Week

By SETH SORENSEN

Alliance City Manager

The week of May 1 through 7 has been designated by Congress and proclaimed by the City of Alliance as Public Service Recognition Week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the employees of the City as well as other public servants on behalf of our neighbors. I wish everyone had the opportunity that I do to see the remarkable contributions and achievements public servants are making to improve life in the city of Alliance and Box Butte County.

The dedicated employees of our organization strive at every turn to not only be the best that they can, but to be as open, transparent, and embracing of our community and neighbors as possible. I believe the future of our community is very bright. A cornerstone of that future is being built by a rock-solid staff. They work hard every day to provide a quality of life that does not go unnoticed. These same dedicated employees can be found at every turn in our community volunteering their time and energy. They can be seen helping at ball games, teaching classes, attending school activities, and assisting those in need.

Thank you employees, for the energy and effort you put into Alliance. Although it’s only been for a short period of time, I am so very proud to serve along with you all and thank you for your service.
