The City of Alliance is making it easier for residents, contractors, and developers to apply for building permits by introducing a new online permitting and inspection platform, CivicPlus Permitting.
The new system will give customers the flexibility to submit building permit applications and upload construction drawings online from the convenience of their home or office. Those who prefer in-person service will still be welcome to visit the Community Development office at City Hall and complete the process as they always have.
In addition to simplifying permit applications, the new platform will also improve the City’s inspection process. Community Development staff will be able to complete inspections using tablets or smartphones while in the field, allowing them to document projects by attaching photos directly to each permit record.
“This new system helps us provide faster, more convenient service while improving the way we manage permits and inspections,” said Community Development Director Brent Kusek. “Whether someone prefers to submit everything online or stop by the office, we’re committed to making the process as simple and efficient as possible.”
The transition to CivicPlus Permitting is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to modernize services and improve accessibility for the community. By streamlining applications, inspections, and recordkeeping, the system is expected to create a more efficient experience for both customers and City staff.
CivicPlus Permitting is intended to become available in September 2026. Additional information about the new permitting system will be shared as implementation progresses.
