Burke Stadium in Omaha was the site on Wednesday and Thursday for the Nebraska State track meet. In the Class B girl’s division, Alliance had 2 athletes participating. Brooke Bailey qualified in the 400 and placed 22nd with a time of 1:02. Danielle Cole took part in the 200 and ended 24th with a time of 27.3. AHS also had 6 that competed in the Unified level. Top placer was Eladio Campos who was second in the shot with a toss of 42’8. Bulldog Ryan Lickliter was 12th with a mark of 32’1. In the girl’s competition, Alliance’s Paige Jensen was third in the shot with a throw of 29’3. Patience Powell-Blummett finished 10th with a mark of 18’2.
Alliance had 2 competitors in the Unified long jump. Taking third with a jump of 18’1 was Riley Best. Jordan Chubick-Schneider was 11th with a mark of 14’10.
Taking first in the girl’s Class B team race was Bennington who tallied 85 points. Elkhoun North was the runner up with 48.5 points while ending third with 45 points was Gretna.
