Believe it or not there is a political race in CD3 that nobody is talking about. The incumbent Adrian Smith is up for reelection in the 3rd district. Adrian is a registered Republican. His Democratic challenger is Becky Stille from South Sioux City. There is very little conversation about this race because the incumbent appears to be confident enough his Democratic challenger isn’t making any waves and putting out very little campaign efforts. But wait, there is a 3rd party in the race and his name is Mark Cohen. He is running as an independent and has gone through the process of gathering up enough signatures to get on the ballot. His campaign team has been working from Alliance To Beatrice to help get his name out in front of the voters. The silence you hear this election year from Nebraska’s 3rd district might just surprise you as an independent candidate is looking to make a lot of noise on Tuesday, November 3rd.
