The Alliance Mission Store has announced its 2023 Grant Recipients for its 16th Annual Grant Year. We have awarded $85,505.00 in grants for this year.

Those receiving Grants this year are as follows: KAB(Keep Alliance Beautiful); United Way of Western NE; Sandhills Center for Hope; Alliance Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America; Alliance Public Library; Hemingford Public Library; Haven on the Bricks; Alliance High School Band; St. John’s Lutheran Church Greenhouse Ministry; Alliance Spartans Baseball; Alliance FCCLA; Alliance Oldtimers Association; Alliance After Prom Program; Boy Scouts of America Troop 216; Box Butte Blasters 4-H Club; Dobby’s Frontier Towners Inc.; St. John’s Piecemakers; Photogram Project Student Workshop; Community Table; St. John’s Headstart Backpack Program; Santa’s Helpers; Alliance Public Schools Foundation; Alliance Moms in Prayer Inc.; Box Butte County Fair Board; Panhandle Blocks Quilts of Valor; Highland Park Care Center; Alliance Trap & Gun Club; Village of Hemingford Recreation; Miss Alliance Pageant; East Point Horspice; Senior Citizens Card Club; Carnegie Arts Center; Box Butte County Fair Large Animal Committee; ARC (Alliance Recreation Center); Area I OHD; Church of God of Indian Mission; Ministerial Association; and Backpack Program.

Most of the applicants that applied this year were given grants. An important step for those applying for grants is to be sure you submit a form with the application describing how the current money will be spent and the amount of your total project and the amount you are requesting. (It is very helpful if you include a budget for your program) Another very important fact about our grants is the money must not be used to fund salaries, insurance, or on-going operating expenses. Our grants fund Box Butte County groups only. We do not fund groups from other counties.

A very special thank you goes to the Community for your donations to the Mission Store! Recycling your unique and wonderful items and gently used clothing is what keeps our business going! We wouldn’t be able to provide this service without you – each and every one of you! Look at all the bountiful blessings that you can provide others just by donating to our store.

All money made through our store located at 203/205 Box Butte in Alliance goes into any repairs and upkeep of the store and then into grants for the community.
