No Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Crash

A two-vehicle crash that sent a vehicle sliding into a light pole resulted in no injuries, but left one vehicle totaled.

According to Sergeant James Grumbles, with the Alliance Police Department, on Jan. 16 at approximately 7:50 a.m., “dispatch received several 911 calls regarding a two vehicle crash near West 3rd Street and Ramblin Road in Alliance.”

Grumbles explained that a white 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Garry D. Anderson Jr., 45, of Scottsbluff, was eastbound on West 3rd Street when a white 2022 Toyota RAV 4, driven by Keri L. Gibson, 43, of Alliance, struck the driver’s door of Anderson’s vehicle. Anderson’s vehicle slid out of control and struck a light pole, causing damage to the rear bumper on the driver’s side.

“Gibson had stopped at the stop sign on Ramblin Road and 3rd Street, before proceeding across 3rd Street, but advised she did not see Anderson’s vehicle until it was to late, Gibson failed to yield the right of way to Anderson,” said Grumbles. “Airbags were deployed on Anderson’s vehicle and the vehicle is considered a total loss. No injuries were reported at the scene.”
