In a contest called after the fourth inning due to weather issues, it was the Peltz Co Junior club downing Ogallala 4 to 0. The Spartans got 4 innings of one hit baseball by starter Fletcher Moseman in defeating the Advisors. Alliance finished the game with 4 hits. The Spartans big frame came in the third as the Juniors scored three times. Moseman ended with 4 strikeouts.
Two early Moseman strikeouts in the opening inning got the Juniors off to a strong start. Unfortunately, the Peltz Co bats were also silenced in the bottom of the inning. Solid pitching continued again in the second and the battle went to the third still tied at zero.
Ogallala went down again in inning three. Alliance took the advantage in the bottom of the frame. A double by Casyn Rodriguez began the scoring. It was followed by a single by Israel Garcia and an error by the guests. Up 1 to 0, the Spartans received a triple by Teagan O’Gorman to extend their margin. Miguel Galvan then made the score 3 to 0 with an rbi hit. Heading to the 4th, the Juniors were ahead 3 to 0.
Moseman again was sharp in his inning on the mound. Adam’s Insurance went 1-2-3 and the Ogallala deficit still stood at 3. In their attempt, the Peltz Co scored once. Logan Freiberger was hit by a pitch and later scored on a wild pitch. Lightning then forced the end of the game with Alliance getting the 4 to 0 victory.
