PSWGA Hosts Final Outing

The final outing of the year for the Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association had 35 ladies competing on a beautiful day at Skyview Golf Course in Alliance on September 21st.

The winning team of Jane Faber, Claudia Benda and Jane Holecheck shot a score of 72 gross / 59.4 net. The second place team of Gina Briggs, Betty Landercasper and Norma Perkins shot a score of 73 gross / 59.85 net. The team of Jill Lenz, Dee Lewis and Sylvia Debus placed third with a score of 75 gross / 61.4 net. The team of Marsha Neifert, Tami Pierce and Joy Eberhardt placed fourth with a score of 75 gross / 62.8 net.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Jane Faber, Longest Drive “B” Player – Tami Pierce, Longest Drive “C” Player – Jane Holechek, Longest Drive “D” Player – Pat Rogers. Chris Lapaseotes won the Longest Putt flag. Gina Briggs, Sally Plover and Penny Yekel won Closest in 1 flags. Jill Lenz won Closest in 2 flag, and Tracy Smith won Closest in 3 flag.

The PSWGA Golfer of the Year traveling trophy was retained by Alliance golfer, Jane Faber. The Covid-19 shortened season had eight events throughout the summer. Jane placed first in four of the events and fourth in one event, while accumulating 15 birdies to tally the most points during the season.
