Gold medal performance in the 400 relay and Coy Childers in the 200 hurdles helped the Alliance St. Agnes boy’s 8th grade team to a third place showing at the Gering Invite which was held on Saturday.
The Crusaders tallied 77 points with Scottsbluff winning the event with 143 points. AMS was second with 109 points. The seventh grade boy’s squad scored 26 which was good for sixth overall. Paxton Richey won the 7th grade boy’s pole vault for St. Agnes.
The Lady Crusader 8th grade team was fifth with 70 points and the 7th graders netted 29 points which was good for 6th place. Gering won the 7th grade girl’s team title with 146 points and Scottsbluff was first in the 8th grade division with 108 points. Six schools took part in the event. Reese Armstrong won the 200 for the Lady Crusaders.
