Mother Nature did her best to stop the Alliance football team on Friday but in the end it was Bulldogs coming out on top. Despite a long weather delay, AHS defeated Gering 26 to 12 in a battle played in Gering. It was the Dogs third straight win as Alliance goes to 3 and 1 on the year. Points were hard to come by for both squads in the fourth. After punts by both teams, Gering made one last push. The hosts moved the ball to the Alliance ten before 2 incomplete passes gave possession back to A town. Aided by big blocks by Robertson and Devlin, Trejo stormed around right end and raced 90 yards for the Dog’s final score. It came at the 1:54 mark. Alliance was turned away on the ensuing PAT try.
