A very successful season for Hemingford senior Keirith Yale continued Friday at the Twilight track meet in Scottsbluff. With the leap of 6’1, Yale won the event for the Cats. Nine teams participated in event with the hosts Bearcats winning the boy’s trophy and Gering taking top honors in the girl’s team race. The Bluffs ended the day with 170 points with Alliance ending second with 97 points. The Hemingford boys put 45 points on the board which was good for sixth overall. Gering scored 120 points in winning the girl’s division while taking second was Scottsbluff who tallied 87. Hemingford’s girls scored 13 points which was good for ninth.
Along with Yale, the Bobcats got a second place medal from Austin Benda who was the runner up in the mile. HHS got third place efforts in the 400 relay and from Tayten Haas who was third in the discus. Members of the third place 4 X 100 relay were: Yale, Tayten Haas, Lucas Sulzbach, and Jayce Haas. Leading the way for the Lady Cats were throwers Emma Hitchcock and Dawn Runkle. In the discus, Hitchcock was third with a toss of 90’7. Runkle was the bronze winner in the shot with a mark of 31’7

Scottsbluff will host the Best of the West meet on Tuesday. Many Hemingford athletes will be competing. Morrill will host the Pan Handle Conference meet on Friday where all the Cats will be participating.
