Alliance Woman Injured in Scottsbluff Accident

An Alliance woman and two juveniles were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries following an accident on Saturday in Scottsbluff.

According to a press release from the Scottsbluff Police Department, at approximately 4 p.m., officers were called to the scene of an injury accident at the intersection of Ave B and Highway 26, involving two vehicles.

Alex Jines, of Alliance, was westbound on Highway 26, driving a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander, while Mark Boles, of Hilham, Tenn., was southbound on Ave B driving a 2019 Toyota 4Runner.

“Witnesses reported the traffic signal was green for east/west bound traffic on Hwy 26 at the time of the accident. The Mitsubishi entered the intersection and the 4Runner failed to stop at the red traffic signal for south bound traffic on Ave B. The Mitsubishi and 4Runner collided in the intersection,” the press release stated.

Jines and two juvenile passengers were taken to Regional West Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. Boles reportedly sustained a minor injury but refused medical treatment. Both vehicles were considered a total loss.

Boles was issued a citation for the traffic signal violation.
