The Lady Bulldogs kicked off their softball season over the weekend, competing in the Lexington Softball Invitational Tournament.
They took to the field at 9 a.m. for their first matchup against Lexington, narrowly defeating them 10-9. Next, Alliance battled against Scottsbluff, where the Lady Bearcats claimed an 18-3 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
In the final matchup of the tournament, Alliance took on Holdrege for the third-place title. Holdrege edged out Alliance for an 8-6, giving Alliance fourth place.
