Bridgeport came to town on Tuesday for a pair of contests. Game one was a Junior’s matchup where Alliance got the victory 11 to 0. Using a strong first frame, the Peltz Co took the momentum and were never threatened. The Spartans ended with 8 hits on the night with Fletcher Moseman and Jayden Garcia leading the way with 2 apiece. On the mound was starter Logan Freiberger and reliever Garcia. The two held the Bombers to just one hit.
Post 29 failed to score in the top of the first. Bats were solid for the Peltz Co in the home half with the Juniors scoring 9. Jackson Shelmadine singled to start the parade and scored on an error by BP. After another miscue by the guests, an RBI knock by Moseman made it 2 to 0. The scoring continued with an RBI triple by Garcia and a run scoring double by Freiberger. Up by 5, the Peltz Co’s last 4 runs came on errors by the visitors and a passed ball. Heading to the second, the Juniors were ahead 9 to 0.
Freiberger had a clean second as the Spartans maintained their shut out. Alliance added to their advantage in the home half with one more tally. Good swings by Moseman and Garcia resulted in run #10. Garcia took to the bump in the third and had a 1-2-3 performance. Doubles by Jackson Devlin and Casyn Rodriguez in the last of the inning made the board read Alliance 11 Bridgeport 0. Frame 4 was a scoreless one for both clubs. Garcia then ended the battle with 3 strikeouts in the Bomber’s last at bat in the top of the fifth. Final. Alliance 11 Bridgeport 0
