Alliance Police Department Chief Phillip Lukens has submitted his resignation, according to a press release issued by Alliance City Manager Seth Sorensen.
The resignation will be effective on Sept. 15. Sorensen said that Lieutenant Kirk Felker has been appointed as Interim Police Chief while the search for a full-time chief takes place.
“On behalf of the City of Alliance, we wish Chief Lukens the very best in his future endeavors,” said Sorensen in the release.
Lukens has served as the Chief of Police since December 2020.
