Box Butte County Public Defender Enet Somers-Dehaney submitted her resignation to the Box Butte County Clerk’s Office, effective immediately.
In her resignation letter, she wrote, “It was a privilege serving the indigent of Box Butte County.”
Her resignation will not take effect until the Box Butte County Commissioners vote on whether to accept her resignation. They are set to meet on Sept. 6.
