Ever filled out a job application? Was you careful about everything? Maybe your best penmanship? Maybe tried to look as good as you could on there? Maybe you made sure you didn’t reveal anything bad on there?
Pretend for a moment that you had to fill out a job application to become a Christian Servant. Pretend God looks them over and what does He look for? Does he pick only the best? Does He pick the ones with no criminal records?
God uses people to serve in His Kingdom and I don’t think He gives one iota what your resume says. I think the only thing He is concerned about is are you willing to confess your sins and are you willing to live with His help and guidance? God only has broken people in His box of applications and He uses them and sometimes the more broken you are the better He can use you, all because He loves you and wants to give you abundant life. There is no life outside of His life that He offers only abundant pain and agony and deceit.
