Creek Valley High School in Chappell hosted the Storm Invite track meet on Tuesday. Taking first in both divisions were the Irish of North Platte St. Pats.
Hemingford was the runner up for the boys, scoring 117 points.
St. Pats put 192 points on the board in winning the boy’s division while winning on the girl’s side with 170.5 points. Thirteen schools took part. Ending in second for the girls was Paxton with 141.
Kimball placed third in both. The Longhorn boys finished with 82 while scoring 102 were their girl’s squad. Hemingford was seventh in the girl’s team race, tallying 22.5 points.
A pair of Lady Bobcats had silver medal efforts. Junior Teagan Thompson was third in the mile while fellow junior Emma Hitchcock placed third in the discus. Top placers for the boys were Keirith Yale who won the high jump and the mile relay who also got the gold with a time of 3:42. Team members: Jayce Haas, Austin Benda, Carson Haas, and Tayten Haas.
