Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Plays at Riverview

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association played Riverview Golf Course in Scottsbluff on June 21, with 42 competitors in attendance.

Taking first place with a score of 73/60.56 net and four birdies was Terry Espinoza, Becky Mikel and Betty Landercasper. The second place team of Connie Booth, Vicky Dimas, Linda Cleveland and Sharon Havely recorded a score of 76/62.26 net. The team of Gina Briggs, Penny Yekel and Tami Pierce scored four birdies also and placed third with a score of 75/62.52 net. Right behind in fourth place was the team of Peggy Wagner, Karen Johnson, Wendy Kostman and Sylvia Debus with a score of 76/62.53 net.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Sandy Huckfeldt, Longest Drive “B” Player – Sue Williams, Longest Drive “C” Player – Linda Cleveland and Longest Drive “D” Player – Norma Perkins. Deb Patterson and Sue Bringelson won Longest Putt flags. Gina Briggs was closest to the pin on the drive for Hole #3. Kay Heggem was closest to the water on Hole #6 without going in. Pam Adams was closest to the pin from off the green on Hole #14, and Vicky Dimas was closest to the pin on 2nd shot at Hole #18.
