Four tallies in the first, second, and fourth innings powered the Expos past the Aces in action on Saturday. Alliance led 6 to 0 and 7 to 4 before Westco came storming back to win 14 to 7. The Aces closed with 8 hits and were lead by Joseph Vela and Andre Acosta who ended with 2 each. Lincoln Foster started for the Aces with Vela coming in as a reliever. Vela had 3 strikeouts.
Alliance was up first and came out slugging. Hits by Foster, King Lopez, Acosta, Landon Gentleman, and Ben Smith gave the Aces a 6 run lead. Westco responded with 4 runs to close to within 2. Frame two had the Aces score once thanks to knocks from Vela and Acosta. The Expos then took the lead in the home half with four tallies. After 2 innings, the Aces were behind 8 to 7.
Westco kept the momentum in the third. The Aces failed to score while the Expos scored twice to go up 10 to 7. Vela had a hit in Alliance’s last attempt in the fourth but was left on the paths. Westco then ended the contest with 4 scores in their last at bat.
